Did we have a thread like this before? I wanted to do something along the same vein as the Kindergarten Cop scene.. who's your daddy and what does he do?

List as much information as you feel comfortable with but there is no template to follow. I'd like to gauge the average Forte turbo driver.

I'm 38 male.

This is my first 'performance' car. Previously I've been driving hand me downs and siblings cars. Better late than never I suppose.

In my 20s I wanted to get a 5th Generation Prelude, the last one Honda ever made. That was such a nice car.

Still is, actually.

Hey guys, I'm Vince but everyone calls me Vinnie. I'm 25 and work for the government and pertoleum companies doing meter and instrument calibration. This is my second Kia I've owned. First one was a 2015 Forte LX base model. Had it for a year and 9 days, got a call from Kia saying they wanted to buy it back because it was technically considered a used vehicle, so they could bring new inventory in. Went and talked with them and made out on the deal very well. And now im in a 2015 Koup Turbo as you know lol. Todl myself I was going to keep te car stock other than tinting windows. Well a lot of free time and $1,500 later Ive got a bunch of bolt ons and a tune coming this April haha.

Fritters the name, driving cars isn't a game. 25 yo
I work for kia in sales. I have sold for Toyota and Chevrolet. I have two other project's a 63 scout 80 that runs and drives just cosmetic work. Then I have a 90 Camaro that is my summer daily driver and that is just a nit pickin kinda of build until I rebuild the motor.
I know that the stock forte isn't that fast but man I have a ton of fun driving that around town and hittin the back roads. Honestly its the fastest daily driver I have ever had. Its just cool that its a kia!
I love building cars and driving them to put simply... what I think about all day? Cars. Cars. Cars.

30/m/married/deputy.

i would love to find a a 99 or 2000 civic sedan and take out the d15 and put in a b16, but keep the entire car stock or just do OEM upgrades like type r stuff or si stuff, my goal is a "gentleman's" civic sedan with good power and not much louder than stock... even to futher this i would like to find the teal/green or forest green civic with the tan interior just to keep eyes down even more.

26/married/vet/2 kiddos/ moderate mechanical knowledge

Been out of the service for a year and a half. I'm currently an apprentice sheet metal worker and I can't wait to quit. It's incredibly dangerous and really disgusting at times although I get to basically play with giant metal Legos all day.

We are purchasing our first home right now so the mods are on hold until further notice but R2 is my second turbo car. My first was a 92 240sx fastback that I inherited from my dad when I was 16. Put an s14 black top Sr20det in it and boy was that a bad idea.... it was super quick but it was horribly unreliable due to me getting screwed by a garage. Life lesson learned. Just do it yourself!

I love gaming when my 2yo and 6mo allow it. I also just bought an AR-15 and my wife and I have started shooting.

I can't wait til this car is paid off so I can drop some serious cash into it but I am more than satisfied with what KIA has shown me so far.

kinda sounds like my story a little, i used to game quite a bit but after my son was born 3 years ago i started to play less and less then got rid of my stuff. my mods have slowed/taken a partial back seat to house things... i just installed a CCTV system yesterday that took most of the day going through the attic.

most of my issue it time, i can probably install parts on my car, but i want to make videos for my youtube but if im not at work i am usually watching the kids while my wife is working, so i cant really do a video/part install unless the kids are napping or really pre-occupied

I am old enough to know better yet still young enough to try, :)

Making cars fast is my job, so this is a perfect place for me to be.

Work with my wife, have a wonderful family of 5.

We have been doing performance upgrades since 1998, moved into our first shop in 2010. I spend countless hours trying to figure out how to get power out of cars that people say is impossible to get power out of, :) If you are interested, check our our Facebook page at Tork Motorsports

My personal daily car is a 700 WHP Mazdaspeed 3. Shop cars (personal) are, S13 with an RB swap. SRT4 Neon making over 800 WHP with a new build shooting for 1200 WHP. SRT4 Caliber making 600 WHP (wifes car). We also have a few shop turds to move stuff around, 93 Jeep GC and 74 GMC pick up.

Shop sponsored cars:

Mazdaspeed 3 (making 500 WHP on the stock head and block)
KIA Forte 2.0 Auto trans
KIA Forte 1.6T Manual trans
Hyundai Velsoter 1.6T Manual trans
Mini Cooper R56 1.6T Auto and Manual trans car
BMW M3 4.0 DCT
Lexus ISF 5.0

Thanks,

John

Donavan 32, divorced finishing a bachelor's in journalism. Just took a position with Toyota Motors in Georgetown KY. Cars are one of my biggest passions, outside that, writing, travelling, music, gaming. Honestly work, school and family take up most my time. I have a menagerie of animals, 3 dogs, 5 cats, a baby box turtle, a hypo pastel boa, and a pet mouse named tim.

I love unique and unusual vehicles. I like being the automotive oddball. However I love anything with wheels and some form of propulsion. Street rods, rat rods, lead sleds, 4x4s, bikes..... anything.

Personal vehicles past and present
First vehicle 1994 dodge ram 2wd swb. 318 with 360 crank, JE pistons, Eagle con rods, crower cam, mopar mp1 aluminum intake mani, 1.7 roller rockers, etc etc...high 12s 1/4 on an N/A small block 4200 lb truck

2003 Pontiac vibe gt . Great sleeper car 2700 lbs 6spd manual 2zz high lift toyota 1.8 liter. Full bolt ons, 8200 rpm screamer.

2009 hhr SS
2.0LNF ...GREAT 4spd auto.... not so great.
Catless dp and mp, intake, FMIC, water/meth injection, 42lb injectors, trifecta tuned 350 whp but not a lick of traction.

2012 cruze 2LT
1.4t LUV motor 6spd auto. Intake, Catless dp/mp, FMIC, big three grounding kit, ngk v power plugs, injectors, trifecta tuned. Stock turbo was tiiinnnyyyy and really limiting my top end. But it was a basket case, 2 turbos, 4 pcv valve/ valve covers( cause GM thought building the pcv valve integral to the valve cover was smart), coil strip, hot side pipe (when stock) all sensors, pistons, rings, and on and on.... this is what led me to my current baby

2014 kia forte koup sx 1.6th 6spd auto
DIY intake, 2nd cat and res delete, intercooler resonator delete, bov vent mod, wastegate reference point mod, RSR RANUP, cleaned and sanded grounds, and mannnnnny more mods to come.

I guess I should chime in, too.

Name is Piotr, hence my profile name PLP (initials).
I reside in Haslett, MI - basically Lansing area, central/mid MI, but I originate from Poland.
Married with two kids (7 and 10).

I am a scientist/civil engineer working in environmental industry.

I love cars from their engineering point of view. I will keep digging a topic until it makes sense to me, so some might not like it. Sorry, but I cannot change that.
Therefore, all changes to my car will take lots of research and understanding.

As you might see, dream car is Porsche 959. BTW, I hate the American way of saying "Porsch-a" where A is like in Adam. It is disgusting... It should be E, like in "sEnse"...

I was debating newer KIA over older GTI, and I ended up here.

@honhon Well we went ahead and bought a house so now I REALLY know what you mean. I don't think I have done anything fun or leisurely in about a month.

I did order some suspension stuff from Evilla. We will see if it gets installed in 2016 or not lol.
