Hey everyone
Thought I would make a thread where we can all chat about what plans we have for our Forte's
Tell us what your current mods are, what's you have planned for the future, mention what you bought today.
This is also a great place to ask any questions regarding other members mods etc.. All in one place!

For those who have not followed me since day one. I am currently in the process of working with Tork to get a solid set of tunes out for the 6 speed forte. Another member here is working with him for the automatic platform.
So as far as the tune goes, if you have any questions about it feel free to shoot me a pm or post here on this thread. I can directly answer any questions regarding drivability/mpg/power/ etc. Also if there is anything more technical that you need to ask I can also do my best to answers. But either way I am in constant contact with both John and James, so it will be very easy to get a quick answer

As far as what I plan on doing.
I have also been working with Tork to get my forte hitting some great power numbers
The subject of an upgraded stuffed stock turbo is in the works (slowly but surely)
Also will be taking advantage of the amazing rods/Pistons that will be available to make this bottom end bulletproof. Also will be including a Methonyl kit for cooling/ cleansing purposes. But also adds power hand in hand at the same time
In the end run I am shooting for the mid 300s
This will not only be very powerful, but also reliable. Best of both worlds

As far as any other question you have about any mods that you are wanting to get for your car. Please feel free to pm me or post here. There are many parts available for the forte that aren't quite out there in the open yet. If you have anything you want and don't know where to get it. There is only one answer to that question. TORK.

I will be posting all of my results and progress with my build as the weeks progress. This will all be in my build thread that I am working on posting in the coming days

anyway, please share your story/mods
Should be fun to see what others are doing

Ok since i am on my phone and i cant type a crap load like mr. Knee i will try to keep it short lol

My car is the a/t forte5 that he is talking about that is working with john and james at tork for the tune. I got the tune a few weeks after i bought the car. John wanted to see if he could tune the forte cars and found out he could so it helped open up the option for us.

Since then i have put the following on my car....

Tork tune (still working on some hicups for a/t peeps)
Tork pipe
Upgraded hotpipe to 2.5"
6th 3.5" cai
75a dogbone bushings
2.5" axle back with upgraded tips
2 add w1 catch cans
Prosport boost gauge
Gutted midpipe cat
Resonator delete on midpipe
1 step colder ngk spark plugs (cant remeber the number)

Like knee said ask us anything you would like about the tune or upgrades. We are both in contact with john and james at tork.

I am also working with jim at pierce performance about suspension upgrades and a few other things.

Oh and i am looking at trying to be one of the few if only a/t car hitting 250-300whp

Well I sold some parts from my old car today so might use my $115 usd on paypal towards something as a early present. I'm thinking of getting a Bluetooth obd2 dongle. Itsjustme reconmended one but if anyone else had good luck with any. Let me know.
Those of you with the res delete pipe? Did you still use it with hot pipe upgrade? I keep debating buying one but would like to upgrade the whole pipe.
@6thelementengineering , do you have any products coming out soon?

If you upgrade the hotpipe you still need the res delete pipe. You need to cut it down though

I am working on a Hot pipe and intercooler kit next week. I will make a full replacement hotpipe that works with our res-delete pipe so you wont have to modify or sell anything.
Okay sounds good. Some of the veloster guys are saying it's like a 8 hp increase or something. Is that accurate?
I'm pretty modest for my plans

Springs
Rpf1 in gold or bronze
Fmic with new bov
Meth
Tune
Prob rear cat and reso delete

My goal is to have a quick car but still OEM comfort hense the reason I got rid of my do gone bushings

Prob going to do some other stuff so we will see what happens

Don't know the hp number but it's definitely on that range I would say.
Butt dyno likes it for sure

i was going to go gold or silver to. i have had many sets of them in my days. May go a bit more expensive this time and get some Works.
for now i am focusing on power mods only
this is the first car i have had where i just focused soley on that. I have to say this is also the first car i don't feel like i have to do anything exterior wise (besides a few cheap small ideas) to make it look good
The wheels bothered me at first but they have grown on me
regardless, wheels are very important when it comes to fast. Less rotational force goes a lonnnnnnng way. Noone understand that until they pay for legit wheels, and not some crazy cheap knock offs. If its just for looks, whatever then. But to accelerate faster, light weight wheels are a must

im kinda liking the O.Z. Alleggerita HLT

I like work Emotion before but I really don't want to go into debt with wheels...

I almost thought about getting spacers and doing the stock wheels in a deep bronze

anyone know how much the stock wheels weigh?
I saw somewhere around here someone mentioning the weight
I do they they are very heavy tho

My exhaust tips are chrome on my setup. If your talking about the muffler then just wait till you get some mile on it and that will change lol
well the past week or so i spent completing all the major transitions for my build
I have also got my machine shop in check per all the work i will need. I was just there last week and went over the whole build so he knows all the stats. This guy is the best of the best when it comes to any type of machine work/block work etc....
I also put in an order for the upgraded LPFP. The reviews for this have been great since day one even if you are stock. But either way i don't want any problems down the line
I am not fond of the idea soley because of cost, but i am considering purchasing an LSD that is available for this platform. Its quite a big chunk of change and i feel as if i won't use it to its potential for how much i will be spending. We will see what happens. Either way, whatever direction i go i will be happy.
Received my new plugs today also. Brisk racing QRS08 heat range 10.. these bad boys will do the deed when i receive the new updated 1.5 tune. They will also be sufficient when i am built and have the upgraded turbo.

I wonder if the VT diff will fit in our car
I wonder if the VT diff will fit in our car
It will fit. Thats the one knee is talking about.

I am going to be buying next week a new bov that fits stock location. Mine is leaking. Might be picking up a tork catless dp also.

Once i do my tb and coldpipe upgrade i am going to save for meth and have the bung welded to the coldpipe.
