Hey Guys
So far I have swapped the Bpv to a Bov and it sounds great. I am getting a new exhaust soon, I am not sure what else I can do without throwing code. What can I do intake wise that will not give me a check light. I am not wanting to build big with this car, I also am not interested in big speed but I like a good look and a good sound without having to do a tune also not wanting to throw code. What do you guys think.

Look wise New rims, Detailed Engine bay and Tint is as far as I have gone so far.

Get the 6th intake or the Tork intake for better response and better mpg. Also helps with a little more pull.

I have a lot of upgrades and next month my downpipe will be going on and won't throw a code. You can see all my upgrades in my signature below.

Ignore that I am on the website now. Which do you guys prefer the Cold air or the short ram
That is probably the hardest question to answer lol, I would say where you live and how you drive would be the best way to determine that along with what other mods you plan on doing. If you go with the CAI you can always revert back to a SRI when ever you want. Personally I like the SRI setup better but that statement could start a 5 page discussion.
Also do you want to see the massive filter under the hood or not?

Well I think is all a matter of where you drive and if you are going through a lot of standing water.. like to the center line of your wheel. like forging a low water crossing.. that would submerge your filter in the Cold air position.. but rainy days snow and even deep puddles.. will not submerge your filter in the least.. I have been running the Injen mark2 Cold Air intake prototype for the Forte turbo for about 30k miles.. the pipe size is 3 inches has a three inch filter.. if you could buy this i would be the good middle ground of the intakes.. but Get the Sixth element intake or or torks..
as for placement.. pulling hot air from under hood or form behind the fog light.. its not going to make a real difference in power.. the stock intercooler is the heat source in the intake system on our cars. and must be changed to get any real cool air to our cars.
i have run short and cold air set ups.. the Intake temps after car warms up are about the same at speed.. and the cai sees a little less heat but only just like 5 degrees f. when big difference between Short run and CAI is the sound.. Cai is a bit louder with the windows open.. as its pulling form the wheel wells...

parts to keep it simple..
Cai or short ram form Tork or Sixth
intercooler resonator delete pipe
most people run a custom exhaust
The Jun Bl is on the market.. its full stainless steel and a KDM import..( about 700 shipped)
shifter bushings are simple to install and are form Sixth

Thank you for the input. I like the sound of a true cold air, but I do a lot of traveling and during about 3 months of the year I am in a good bit of rain. So I think I will go with the short ram. As for the temp It will suck because I live in Florida Hot as hell Florida already. I would rather it not be as strong than drowning it every so often.

I would buy the CAI because you can convert it to the SRI when you travel to those areas.

Also 5* colder air is a big difference on a turbo car. Our stock i.c is pretty good but after a certain power level it won't help.

You won't have a problem with our cold air in Florida downpours. You would have to drive through 12 inches of standing water before you have trouble.

Also, our Cold Air intake is modular. You can take the extension off and run it as a Short Ram intake when you need something higher up.
