Thinking of removing the turbo. Anybody else take the plunge? How big of a pain in the @$$ is it?

not really hard, a little time consuming, i would suggest draining the coolant while you are working on some of the top side bolts...

to put mine back on i had the remove the cold side housing then when i squeezed it behind the motor i was able to re-attach the cold side....

I moved my motor forward and had the valve cover off . Came right out . Good to have a impact gun thoughts get those exhaust bolts .

i'd be iffy on an impact with any exhaust bolts. i snapped a stud with just a 3/8 ratchet. some of the veloster people are putting in ARP studs whenever they do any downpipe stuff

It will probably be closer to the end of summer when / if I attempt this, but I'm thinking it might be a good time to check out the turbo. I'll probably be over 60k miles at that point. While I'm there, I'll see about doing the unnecessary turbo blanket / manifold wrapping lol.
