Has anyone pulled anything g behind their forte before?
I am considering getting a hitch to pull a small trailer or a canoe with. Nothing heavy.
But I thought I would see what other's experiences had been first.

Kia doesn't give a towing capacity. Manual just outright says not recommended for towing anything.

Lol. I assumed it would say that but hadn't checked.
A lot of similar cars are rated to pull UP TO 2000. A lot are also not rated for anything.

Put one on mine. I pull a 4x8 harbor freight trailer with my street glide on it. Pulled from Ohio to Florida and back.

Did just fine. No issues. Bought a trailer harness that plugged into factory harness behind left taillight.

Kia in area offers tow bar as an extra , no fuss about towing. Concidering that my 1.2 Kia tows my jet ski just fine . The forte would be fine toning anything under 1000 pounds

Found a couple hitches on eBay as well when I typed in 2014 Kia forte 5. Says they fit the SX models too. I think $162..or something like that.

I found some on amazon with the wiring harness for about that price. Probably the same ones.
I'll see if I can get approval from the boss. We talked about one for my last hatchback but it never happened.
