I think besides the powerplant with the turbo version the only thing I like is the matte paint option

Matte paint option would be cool on the wagon.. but its the 2 door that's where it would shine..

I have a kia forte koup turbo 2015, manuel 6speed and my brother has the VT 2014 manuel 6speed. We raced before winter and all the way up to my 3rd gear we were up close but as soon as i was shifting towards my 4th he started losing me. Maybe its because i have a short ram and he doesnt, but the forte won the race!
SRI probably helped, but if I had to guess I'd say the 2015 tune probably helped more. It'd be interesting to get John @ Tork's input on this.

^ I've always been curious too because some mags have slightly faster times on the forte's then they do the velosters and strangely enough the A/T's end up being a touch faster as well on both platforms. Some of that I'm sure comes down to drivers.

I have seen that also where the a/t is a tad faster. I am guessing because we are in full boost all the time and the m/t has to shift and build the boost back. Could be wrong though.

You are probably right, makes sense. Our A/T isn't too far off from the M/T's either... not much of a dropoff in drivetrain loss.

I know one reason my MT is slower is that I'm having a devil of a time speed shifting my car. I've driven manuals most of my life, but this one just feels like it refuses to go into the next gear smoothly. I'm wondering if 6th Element's shifter bushings would help that...

a lot of the shifting issues has to do with how Hyundai and kia put in a damper(s) in the clutch to prevent excessive clutch slip..AND SHOCK!! our super moderator has a modification thread to help with this issue..

i did it. i beat the ugly twin sister. raced from a dig and he got the jump on me, (them VT's don't like to race fair). he got the jump by a car and a half. started reeling him pretty quickly. by the end of 3rd i was probably a half a car length ahead of him. he had a second passenger with him but the back of my car was full of crap. and on on 86 octane. don't know how much of difference from premium... but my first race with a vt and they got chopped. +1 for the FT. was pretty excited when i was lining up next to him cause i knew this was a huge race for the FT. had to calm myself down after the win lol

I still haven't been able to run a VT yet. I really want to but every time I see one it's going the other way or its a woman driver lol

I did play around on the fwy yesterday with a base RSX and it was sad. I pulled so hard away from him that it made him look like he is sitting still. I want to run the type-s since I had one before and see how much closer the run would be. Only downfall the type-s still doesn't have the tq we have so I'm sure I would pull
