Alright everyone I am posting this up for everyone that has got custom exhaust to post up about what you have done and if possible a video of it running. This will also help anyone looking to do their exhaust and get ideas of how to do theirs. We can post videos, pictures, or questions about exhaust!

Here is my short video to get a idea of what the 2015 forte 5 sx will sound like with stock piping, stock res removed, and gutted second cat. This is with stock muffler to.

I took the muffler off on my car the other day and I think it sounds pretty good. Has a pretty good rumble and I definitely noticed a gain on the butt dyno. I might have an exhaust shop add a strait pipe going into the 2 stock chrome tips

I was almost thinking the same thing but I might buy a 2.5" exhaust kit and do it myself so its mandrel bent.

Not sure if you've taken your muffler off yet and tried it out but you can definitely tell that thing is restricting. noticed my biggest gains yet. Can barely even notice it on hwy as well.

Oh I am sure it is. I am trying to figure out how much it would be for me to do it and for a shop to do it. Shops around me charge a lot to

IMO
shops that charge an arm and a leg for exhaust work are trash
In my years of modding and gettin exhaust work done I've created a lot of good relationships and connections with a lot of shops that do various types of work
Best I know are the Amish. Ligit work for a banging price
Next on the list is my exhaust guy down the street who we source all of our weld type exhaust work to ( non bolt on )

That pic proves there would be a ton of room under there to do a Y pipe and 2 round mufflers like the apexi n1 style. Each muffler is 22 inches long total with the tips. Might get the mufflers and have a shop put them on sat

Headed to the exhaust shop right now for an estimate. But I wanted to ask about the res on the exhaust. Is it constricting? Is it worth deleting? Can I do it on my own without a welder? Any answers are appreciated

Get rid of that res
Get a muffler of choice and put it where the res was at and do straight piping with your tip of choice

Delete the second cat. Do a new mid pipe with a round muffler on it and then from there go over the axle out to both tips

I am doing dual n1 style mufflers and getting a magnaflow Y pipe and doing it all myself

One of the exhaust shops I went to said $120 to delete the muffler and put strait aluminized Y pipe. The other shop I went to said $150 for stainless pipe. The extra $30 worth it for stainless? Does aluminized rust easy? They're gonna weld stock tips on as well
