Last Sunday I work on my car and I put the storms springs, it's feel like factory with more stability but the drop sucks, It work good on the Forte 5 with a nice drop but not on the koup. I gonna wait maybe 2 more weeks if nothing change, i go with the BC coilovers.

When she has fully settled, would you mind posting a pic (or two) so us fellow Koup owners can see how it turned out - thanks :).

Figured with the Koup its not going to be a huge difference or drop it to the floor like coilovers will. They are supposed to give a nice 1.5 drop without being to drastic. The Koup sits way higher than the F5 does so it won't be as low.

I just can't figure why the supposed 'sporty' two door Koup has a higher standard ride height than the Forte 5 - I would have thought it should be the other way around. Wonder what Kia was thinking........

Hmmm....They weren't but it does seem a lot of people do go for more of the hot hatch look than a koup/coupe.

Just more proof that the Koup and the 5 are not the same. To get the Koup down to where I am sitting is 3" and I had to roll the engine and trans a little to stop the right cv axle from binding.

The eibach is going to lower the same. The F5 and VT sit about the same so for the koup they need at least a 2-2.5" drop
I think the eibach springs would bring the koup down to about where the storm springs set the 5 but I would never suggest to lower any car 2-2.5" with out doing struts and shocks to match and if you are going that far might as well just get the kit from BC and put it where you want. BCs on the koup all the way down removing one lock ring will be 1.5" lower than I am now (and be impossible to drive). The height it is now is almost where I want it so I might go a bit more. The highest point of the arch in the front and rear fender well is at 23.5" and front lip is 3.5" from the ground.

Well I went for it and bought VT storm springs. Wasn’t sure if they would work... they do!

And they take a few weeks to set so I’ll follow up in 2 weeks with measurements.
