I like it, something that's over-engineered that'll be stronger than the standard E-clip and pin

I am still contemplating not using the clip. From what I have looked at so far, that design will be sufficient for bushing retention.

My replacements will be solid aluminum (maybe brass, still evaluating) and won't deflect when shifting.

I say keep the clip just for good measure and I also vote for brass

3D print prototypes fit great, and I am currently driving with them installed right now. Just to see how they hold up :)

I have decided to go with 6061-T6 aluminum mainly because:

1. cost - i can get these made cheaper than brass
2. work hardening - i was worried that the steel pin that these go on to might work harden the AL or brass over time, but after some research it seems pretty clear we would never exert enough force repeatedly for this to be a concern

So far, even with the ABS plastic shifting feels more "mechanical" and firmer bringing the stick in and out of gear.

I'll post some pictures later tonight.

I like it. is the smaller bushing just going to be a regular aluminum one without the 3 screws?

hey 6th. By chance will you be running and deals for any of these parts. e.g combo of the shifter and base bushing vs. buying them seperate
Just throwing it out from knowledge of past buys
I can do that no problem. I'll make a post with info on a combo once the parts are done and ready to ship
