So I was thinking of since I found out that our exhaust tapers down. On just cutting it off from where it starts and keeping the pipe the same size. I still want a resonator because I plan on getting the down pipe after that. My question is which resonator will sound good with just bigger piping? Along with a good growl now and when I I get the down pipe. Any suggestions? Nothing too loud to piss people off where I live but a nice sounding growl that makes the car sound meaner.

I would look into MagnaFlow resonators. I have always been happy with them. I have MagnaFlow on my suv and gives a nice mellow tone and not loud. The longer the resonator the quieter it will be.

I found a place that will look at my car for an estimated. He want to look at it and I told him what I wanted. He did mention buying one and I kind of smiled and they said. "yeah you see this car is still new enough that there aren't much Parts for it.. So everything is custom. That's why I'm here ". He then laughed and said "yeah I'll have to see the stock and get a parts list for you"

Never did I realize they have to pretty much cut the whole exhaust off.. But.. 240 with dual resonator isn't too bad

Just make sure if they are using anything other than a mandrel bender they need to up-size the pipe for what you lose in the bend. Other wards 2.5" bent on a regular exhaust bender will give you less than what you have now (stock is 2.35" mandrel bent and reduces down to 2.25"). If it is more for sound than performance it doesn't matter.

What do you guys think of a 3" system? Is it worth it? I was thinking of getting a 3" converter than just get the rest of the exhaust 3" with resonator. Or just go straight pipe for now and change it up later. Any ideas?

I went mandrel bent 3" from the turbo back to a dynomax vt muffler then dual 2.5" with 4" resonator tips. Not only does it give a nice tone but you also get the turbo spool loud and clear when coming off idle. You will be able to tell once it is done how much faster the rpms climb. Best thing is at car shows after sitting there all day and starting it up when people are behind you and they run up and say "I thought it was a 4 cyl", I just say it is it's just not a Honda. The tone and sound is similar to a modded VW or EVO with exhaust, I've been told both.

I want to get a Mandrel bend set up, but so far the only place I've found that does Mandrel bends near the metro changes an outrageous amount for labor. Still looking for a place in the metro, but we may have to settle for compression bent set up until someone get's a kit together.

Do you have the converter on yours? The place in taking it to will not touch it unless I have another on hand to give to them...

But aside from should I go further back to start the 3"? Or just keep it at the at the converter and on back? Also I'm dumb when it comes to resonators. Does it matter if it's center/center or offset/center. Also would I get the same performance aspect from 1inlet to 2 outlets? Like stock is. Which of this is better if not the one I should go with
