Source; TORKme the only guy that really knows from experience.
1.6 GDI with stock sleeves rods pistons type B 280 whp before degrading occurs over time. A manual 1.5 with a stock setup can easliy do 280 whp/ 260 wtq.
Manual, sky is the limit. There are plenty of clutch upgrades.
6 speed AT 325 whp before torque converter break away. Torque will be kept on purpose at 235 240 ft lbs.
DCT's (suck) Only 15 to 18 % whp increase. Who cares, it cant take much.
***He can and will tune a 300 whp super stocker, but you would have to sign a waiver !!
TORK is tuning Son of John Super turbo car a MT. He is turning 400 plus whp and 300 plus torque wuth stock axles !!! LOL.
So you could:
Put in a 3.5 inch intake
Put TORKs downpipe
Send in your ECM for a stage one bench flash
You would have 230-250 whp/ 250 ish torque. No impact on durability.( I'm 72K with Super stocker meth crazyiness)
Wow thanks for the information. I had no idea these cars could safely hold that amount of power.
