Ok guys I have installed my sub and new speaker setup in the car. One thing I noticed is the battery clamp on the battery post. The bolt is made to pull in the slider bracket to tighten it down properly. I attatched my amp wire here but can't get the terminal to tighten down all the way. I see there is another spot that looks likt its for the altinator but didn't want to mess with that without knowing if it is ok or not to tap into.

So for those that have a amp how is it wired to the battery?

I can't remember exactly where I put it but it was on a bolt on right side before the fuse I think.... I can take a picture later or if you take a picture I can point it out to you....

Ok cool I know there is one bolt for the strap to the battery strap and then one right above it that has a 150amp fuse next to it

I think it's one by fuse that I used but it was before fuse. The bolt to tighten the clamp on post. I am not sure if you can take it off all the way? Some cars are set up so you can just loosen or tighten it. I try to never connect anything to the clamp. I also popped the cover off and drilled a hole and use tin snips to make a spot for cable to go through

I will have to check again. I did put mine on the clamp part of it so it isnt holding super tight like before. I will look again at where I can put it and see if it works

I did the same thing as rick021808 by cutting a hole to run the cable through. Here is a photo of how mine is connected with the cover off:

I've attached it to either the post before. Doesn't seem to matter as long as it's before any other fuses.

Where did you cut the cable through the firewall? I've drilled a shitty hole through that cone and rubber boot that the other wiring harness uses, then down behind the pedals, under the hood release latch, to the door sills. It's really hard to get at that cone/rubber boot thing with 1/2" bore due to the angles in the firewall. Wonder if you guys have found a cleaner way to cut through it.
