The Money Pit

This could go as far back as May 2014 when all good thing started to happen but I will skip most of it and get closer to the now. The name is obvious and it's not from being a beast of a build it's more from making multiples of the same mods and testing how different changes affect the car. Just for example it's had three different intakes, FMIC with five different intercoolers, three different exhaust systems (and working on the fourth), three different styles of catch cans and there are many more. Personally I like to design and build something just to try it but in the end it does get costly. Not to much to show right now that most haven't seen.

I will start with what was done today then add in a few extra pictures of random non important stuff.

Sorry about some of the photos, I usually don't have the camera with me so the old phone backup it is.

Those pipes looked clean. Do you weld then yourself?

Also what lip is that?
Yes I tig all my own work and the lip is the DIY garage door seal from Home Depot (that's what the EZ lip is they just add tape to it)

Those weeks are real nice. I need to get more practice welding. I also need to get enough bravery to screw stuff into my car....

Looks good. keep the updates on the mods coming
As you wish, this was today's start on the new duals. This is the beginning of the Y pipe before it is shortened to do what is needed.
Still using the crappy cell so it's not perfect

I like thats style man!!! And just a tip: Don't put a lot of heat on the weld!! Right now you burned the weld. But still looks bad ass!!
Right now I am just lucky to be steady enough to attempt it. Once I get things back close to normal I will be able to lower the heat down a bit and get closer without sinking the tungsten in the weld. Until then let it burn a little if it needs to.

How does it sound?
Sounds real good while in the throttle or cruising but there is a short rpm range where it resonates inside the car more than I like but tolerable. I will try and get a sound clip today.

I can't answer that as it might get me banned from the forum again lol. Plus the vendors will see this and it may inspire them in the future builds (hint hint, you know who you are).
