Just wondering if any of you guys have any other cool Non-Forte cars. Just curios as to what we all are driving. I know not everybody dailies their forte like me.

I have a 2004 Ford escape, bad transmission, but I own it. My mom has. 2014 Kia Sorento, and my dad has a good old 2002 Toyota Echo. I'm looking into getting a Mazda RX-7 Sa22c. Which is the first Gen 1979-1985 model. Love rotary engines and would have it as a project.

1994 GMC Sierra, basically a work/haul truck but still try and keep it clean. Also a 1989 Mustang project Ive been working on for a bit. About 80% done with the motor rebuild and going for boost.

We have a 2010 dodge journey 3.5L V6. That's our family hauler and tow vehicle. It tows a 17' flatbed with 4 atvs. I have done upgrades to it so that helps and it's the last year benz was in with Chrysler so we have a benz motor lol.

Oh and yes I daily my Forte 200 miles a day for work. But since I am injured from work it just sits in the garage

Sorry to tell you man, but there hasn't been a Mercedes Benz part put on a Chrysler product since 2007. That 3.5 engine was developed during the Cerberus Capital Management era after Mercedes dumped the Chrysler brand in 2007. And during those few years, Chrysler pumped out some serious junk, even worse then the last few Mercedes years. At least you did get the V6 instead of the 4, which made the Journey a half decent ride. Once fiat took over(2011ish), the brand slowly started working on each model, and now, 5 years later, the Chrysler brand is pumping out some of the best cars it has in the last 35 years.

Also, all my current cars are in my signature except our 2004 Dodge Ram 4x4 Cummins, which I keep around for those times that you just have to have a truck.

Funny because on my Vin when the dealer ran it they told me about the motor.

All I can say is that I am going off what they have told me. I have never had a issue with this car or motor at all. With the things I have done I make some V8's look sad. Also people are shocked when I tow my 17' flatbed Carson trailer with all my gear lol

Yeah, not sure why they would tell you that. The Journey wasn't even close to the Mercedes split in 2007 and like I said, that 3.5 was developed well after the split as well. The last Chrysler's to roll off the assembly line with Benz parts, were the Chrysler Pacifica(which left with a 3.8 and a 4.0 V6) and the infamous mechanics special, Crossfire. I sold a bunch of Journey's when they first came out, and within 6 months, the folks that wanted to save $1500 to get the 4 cylinder, were back begging me to get them out of it. Like I said, you made the best decision by getting the 6, because like you said, you can load everything up, and even do some towing, plus whatever you have done, makes it that much better. I'm not even sure why they offer a 4 cylinder in that thing. If you get a chance, go drive a Fiat worked over Journey with that Pentastar V6. Honestly it's like night and day of what Fiat has done to the brand.

Yeah I drove the newer v6 and it is powerful but funny because with mine tuned and exhaust and intake it will hold 1 car length behind it which is pretty good.

We were looking at trading it for a new one but it can't tow what mine can. From what I have been told from the dealer is that it can only tow 2500 and mine is 3500.

Once mine is paid off then we are getting something way bigger.

Factory tow ratings are shit anyways lol. I've towed 3 times or better then the factory tow ratings on a few different vehicles I have owned and did okay. If you know what you are doing, and know how to properly load your trailer, it's as easy as pie. My Cummins has towed 33,000lbs of steel from Florida to Ohio dozens of times with no issues, well except for dodging the weight stations lol.

This is Tyson, James uses the [email protected] account. But thank you. Last dyno run I did it was in the process of being tuned, even still it put down 283hp 310tq on stock turbo and intercooler. Once I get it to 300 ill be content........ for a while.

Omg man. That's ridiculous. That thing is so clean. Super jealous. This is why I have yet to play with a mazda 3 on the road. Most can tune them to make 280 hp and I don't want to lose. That's wicked. I didn't even know these things were turboed. I haven't dipped my toes in the modern mazdas. I'm a rotary freak. Love the rx7 series but haven't researched with the new mazdas.

Everybody else has some nice rides too! Glad some of you guys daily your forte as well. My first oil change/maintenance is this Thursday at 9 am.

Oops my bad Tyson, I knew that. For some reason James always pops in my head... Damn that's crazy. I know our cars are cheaper, but the stg 1 will put me in the range of the Ms3 stock... I can only imagine it modded ha ha.

It's only the Mazdaspeed 3's that were turbocharged and you aren't going to see one everyday. If you run into a regular Mazda 3, have at it, you'll win easily. I had the honor of owning a lightly modded Mazdaspeed 6 back in the day, and it was a blast to drive with AWD. Not sure why Mazda gave up on the speed series as they were the only Mazda's worth buying for a car guy. I guess the sales numbers weren't high enough for the bean counters

Btw, nice ride Tyson.

Yeah, you should have no issues with a regular 3. but most people cant tell the difference between a speed3 and a regular 3 so that the fun part lol. ill race anyone that wants to for fun. plus beating cars that cost 3x as much as mine always gives me a smile lol. A year ago I knew nothing about rotary's but i have spent alot of time around them in the last year and have been loving them, my buddy has a 560whp FD3S rx7, as well as a 400whp REW swapped rx8 that thing is amazing, the crazy part, he is only running 10psi. I also had the pleasure of meeting a shop up in canada that has a 1000whp FD drag car, running 44PSI and sitting comfortably in the mid to high 7's in the 1/4 mile. it was amazing lol

Ahh man, i didnt even know about the speed6 when i had bought my car or else id have searched till i found one, there arent many of them left, and they are great cars. hard to find thats for sure. The speed series coming to an end is going to end up being a horrible thing for mazda considering that ford is in that "market" subaru kia hyundai dodge, pretty much everyone. mazda makes great cars, but they seem to lack consistency. there is rumor of the speed's coming back in 2016, but there has been zero confirmation of that. all of us are basically chomping at the bit for a newer, higher powered speed lineup

I would love to be able to go against these cars just to figure some of them out, i cant even think of seeing any forte's around here, atleast none that wanted to race. the world needs more car people.

I am the same way when I beat cars that are way more expensive. They think because they paid more it's better and faster lol. I think it's funny when they give you the pissed look because they even know it's sad

lol especially because no one is going to think a Kia or a Mazda is going to kick their ass, always makes me smile. I beat a G35 the other day on the freeway and he was super upset about it lol. Actually, the Honda guys are usually the coolest and just want to know what all i have done and stuff, which is cool. I think the Honda Guguys are just used to it.
