Hi!

I will try a used kia forte koup sx 2014 at a dealer this saturday.

Kia FORTE KOUP SX*TURBO*GDI*NAVI/CUIR/TOIT/MAGS 2014 pour 16*492 $ à Laval | autoHEBDO.net
Here is the ads with picture

55000 km leather seats, navigation, push start button for 16500 used (ill grab it at 16k)

Keep in mind its in Canadian pesos and everything is more expensive in Quebec. I also have to pay a tax of 15% on top of it. (Yes we tax used car over and over in Quebec)

I still think its a fair price because it has all the package you can get. The previous owner (who have a kid now and had to sell the car) also added a nice front bumper lip.

+ its the exact color I wanted.

Anything I have to check before buying? Brake pourcentage, etc

If everything fine, I should be in the gang saturday :)

Bonne chance! Je pense que tu peux obtenir cette voiture pour moins que $16k. Avec 55k kms, je vais offrir 15k... Malhereusement, le valeur de revente est tres bas pour notre voitures.

I don't know if I can bargain that much.
Other car similar in the area with less features and around the same kilometer are more expensive

Je ne crois pas que je peux la réduire davantage
Les autres sx 2014 avec même kilo( ou un peux moins) et moins d'options coûtent plus cher encore

Exemple :
2014 45k no leather, no navi, manuel is 16.5k
2014 43k white, same spec as the one im buying 17.5k
I really wish I could have the same price you get in Ontario but you have more population so less expensive price.

Charlesquik- Bought my 14 Red SX Luxury with 11300 KM
in January 2016 from the Porsche dealer in Edmonton for $15000.
There is currently $4250 off from Kia Canada on a new 2016 so a new one would be $26227 plus taxes.
These are great cars but don't sell all that well either new or used .
I just got offerred real money $14200 wholesale( Now @ 18300 KM) from a GM dealer trading on a used 2016 Ford Fusion SE 2 Litre Turbo AWD leather, navi, roof ex rental loaded with 8000 KM for $10000 difference + tax. Fusion was over $38000 new
but I didn't like the car all that much so I will keep looking.

Sure like that front spoiler.Looks as good as if it was OEM.
Wonder where you get it & how much?
Would really help stop scraping the front lower valance on high curbs.

Negotiate ;)

Well if they won't go that low, try to negotiate a couple extras.

I negotiated mine to a price that I was happy with, then I negotiated extras. I think I got a pretty good deal on mine.

ON prices aren't that far off from QC I wouldn't think. Actually all the used cars sold by QC dealers are normally cheaper than here!

Welcome and good luck on your upcoming purchase!

As for negotiation as long as you have a price in mind and it's not too outrageous I'd stick to getting that price, at the end of the day as long as you're happy with what you're going to pay that's all that matters

It is fully loaded. Very nice. 34K miles on it is not bad.
I do like the front lip spoiler. I would do it at 16K price.
Lets us know if you buy it, I sure like my 2014 Koup a-lot.

Honestly you need to make sure the motor is the better motor. A lot of 13-14 1.6t motors had issues with internals being weak. Try looking for a nice 15 if there is any around.

Honestly I would really like a 14 or 15 forte5 sx but its really rare or inexistant in Quebec. I like the fact its compact but still have 4 doors and nice cargo storage.

As for the 2014 weak internal, its not really a concern for me because I wont mod or race my car

My last car was a spectra5 2008 so I like hatchback and wanted to keep it for a while (only 120k kilo) but I got hit on the back while at a red light...

Welcome! Some 16" will work, others won't. Can't speak for which ones that do as I run 17s, but I know some factory Kia 16" work... One member has them.

Other aftermarket ones will depending on the offset. The problem you'll run into is finding ones that'll clear the brake caliper.

Congratz!

Have any pictures to post of your new ride?

The guy before me added front bumper lip, rear and back window tint, cable for bass in the trunk

I saw a 2015 20k kilo for 17500 but it was manuel and base version so I decided to get the luxury one and auto

Hey I'm in the club! Bought it for 16250$.

What do you guys use for winter tires? 16 inch?
16' will, but you must try it first.
I got one from Hyundai Sonata. They are closer to the strut (offset wise) than OEM 18', but the spokes are designed such way that they clear the caliper bracket.

The problem is not the offset itself, those are the spokes that mess things up.

16' with 205/60x16 is a bit too much. I took the risk and well, at a certain wheel drop at a certain angle it will rub a bit on the mud flap. But that is unlikely to happen while driving, unless I am jumping of a roof.
195/60x16 is the exact one.

Im scrape my front bumper lip in every parking with high slope I go haha oups its a gentle rub but still annoying.

Anyways

I just bought 4x Vredestein WINTRAC XTREME S in 205/55R16 XL

Now the question is if I get some winter alloy wheels, steel wheels or ugly steel rim

Now If I dont get oem steel rim from kia dealer,

Which wheels size I need to chose?

I made a search with my car and that what the site returned me https://pmctire.com/en/wheels/usage/4-seasons-winter-approved/wheel-diam/16/wheel-nuts/5/wheel-bolt-circle/114.3/wheel-bolt-pattern/5x114.3/wheel-centering/108.2-77.8-71.5-87.1-78.1-117-67.1-106.1-73.1-95.4-110-83.3-70.6-108-74.4-70-71-74.5-92.5-95.3-109-110.1-116-124-125.1-221-170-161-154-142-133-72.5-106.3-106-141-127-122-84-78.5-79.5-154.3-130.81-130.8-125.5-124.2-121.5-112-106.25-100.5-83.8-83.5-83.06-78.3-67.2-74.9-76.5-113-94.6-125.2-125-100-115.8-121.3-116.8-83.82-124.1-72.62-130.18-72.56-107.5-154.2-116.7-142.2-121.7-220.1-121.1-73.9-68.2-70.1-66.9-67-70.3-70.5-70.7-71.6-72-72.1-72.6-73-74-74.1-76-78-84.1-87-93-100.1-108.1-110.5-121-121-124.3-124.9-130-130.1/wheel-offset/38-30-3-37-35-45-44-42-31-47-40-32-43-48-41-36-46-4-29-33-34-39-44.5-47.5-36.5-38.5/sort-by/price/sort-direction/desc.tire

Are the value selected in the filter to the left correct?

Well I found some info

Forte 2014 16 inch tire is 205/55R16 with 6.5jx16 with 50 offset and 67.1 center bore

But will it work with other offset say 40,45 and other center bore say 73.1?

also directly on rwc wheels they say 16x7.0 5x114.3 ET40 CB67.1
or
16x6.5 5x114.3 ET40 CB67.1
for Rondo, Forte, Soul, Sportage, Optima (LX & EX)

67.1 that is the hub. 114.3 is correct as well. Also, make sure it is a CONE seat.

Offset - as I said before. It might or might not fit.
Use this calculator
Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit
This will tell you if you are getting away or too close.

My wheels are 3.7 mm deeper then OEM is, but also 21.7 mm further from the strut.
I lost 1 inch on the width, but moved inside with offset.

OEM is 18" with 7.5" and 55 offset.
I got 16" with 6.5" and 46 offset.

So, I also had a Nissan wheels which were 41 offset (16x6.5). They should fit no problem. Nope. Spokes collided with brakes.
Mazda 6 wheels - beautiful set. Well, offset was 50 I think. No way they could work.
