Hello Forte Community!!!

I have some great news to share with everyone. Whoever has been active on this forum in the past couple months should have some knowledge on what i am about to share. There has been discussion of upgrading the stock stereo with a Navigation unit with some added features. There is another thread here on the forums that has some good information regarding this unit.
Here is is a link for reference. http://www.forteturbo.org/forum/22-kia-forte-turbo-electronics/246-upgrade-stereo.html

I became very interested in this the first time i saw it, and since then have been in contact with Mxtron regarding information on the unit. Dan from Mxtron has been my contact so far, and since day one he has provided some great customer service and information. There is no more than a 24hr period between emails, and that very good when taking into consideration they are from another country.
So heres the deal.
Dan and i have been working in the background to make it possible for me to get my hands on one of there units so i can do and install and give a full review on the product. The point here is to get there product into the US and make it possible for them to get there name out there as an option for stereo upgrades. This is a huge opportunity for his company to make a name for themselves in the US, and also great for me to further my build down to the fine details.
Dan and i have worked out a deal for him to send me a unit for me to review and give my thoughts on. There are a few features in particular that i want to check out and see what changes can be made for the better.
I will be updating this thread every time i get more details of the unit and when it is in my possession
Please stay tuned
Max

Looking forward to it. There's lots of features that I think will be very nice.
That is does. i am excited to get this into he forte and see what is can offer. We really need an option like this and i am glad we have the opportunity to do so. Dan @ Matron has given some A+ customer service and that is HUGE when is comes to buying a product.

Should ask them after you do a review to become a vendor on here if that will help them to
They have been trying to become a member in the forum but have been denied and seen as a scammer because of there location and other reasons. It's a work in progress but everything including that is in the works.

Gettin the product here in the states and having the ability to review it for everyone else to see it a huge step for them. This also allows us to factor in there reliability and quality of the product. I am working with Dan to make this happen. I feel like it's deserved. We just need to take the right steps. And we are in the right track so far

That's exciting. I wonder if there is some way to mount the new camera in the stock location. I know at work a few years ago we took a camera out of a tailgate and made a little box for it and mounted it on a mobile dark room so customer can keep his camera since he no longer had a tail gate on his truck. Maybe this new camera can some how be mounted in the stock camera box. Not sure if you would be interested in looking at that max? Or if you are just going to use license plate holder....

hey everyone
Just wanted to pop in here and give a quick update on the install
@daniellen
Its obvious i have not been on the forum for a short while and just recently returned. So the install process got put on the back burner for many reasons. The biggest reason was finding the time to reverse all my current wiring for my system to accept the new unit. Why? Well i had a sound processor running my system (the right way to convert to RCA) and when i installed the new Mxtron unit, the sound processor did not like it at all and in result of that everything would go into protection mode. The good thing is i could fix this and at the same time upgrade the system. The new unit comes with audio jacks in the back to run RCA's to an external amp. So with this i was cleaning up my system, and at the same time upgrading and getting better sound quality. I don't know of many people that go as far as running a sound processor (usually for someone with stock head unit, but most use a line out converter)so you wouldn't really know what is consist of. Im not going to go on giving all the details on that, but to get my point across it takes 4-5 hours just to wire everything up, so reversing all of that takes even longer. So to find the 5+ hours extra added on to my already hectic life schedule (Wife/son/work/my build) was next to impossible and not planned, it took a while but i found the time and got everything situated
So my status as of now. The unit is in and everything work flawlessly. Now i need to find the time to run the new external backup camera and get that up and running. I should be able to get that done in the next week or so. For those who don't know I'm taking an unexpected trip to Atlanta on the 21st. The info on that is in the last page of the "Official tune thread".
Thats all for now
Thanks
Max

Cool. Any install pics?

Also does this run android? Would be cool to have a unit like this then install torque on it. Wouldn't have to install and external gauges
