HI- On the off chance that someone in Ontario or eastern Quebec might have a spare 18" rim they would like to sell...?
One of mine had a disagreement with one of Ottawa's famous road construction potholes and lost. Cracked the bloody thing.
Wasn't even a very large bump and I was only going about 35 KPH- (These are pretty fragile rims!)
I haven't been to the dealer yet but I imagine they want a small fortune for one here in Canada.

Thanks,

Hmm… That sucks. Doubt it's something someone would sell you one of. You never know I guess.

You Occasionally run across someone selling a set, but rarely if ever do you see someone selling one. However I have seen sellers on Ebay selling one rim. Haven't seen anything for the Forte5 though. You could try browsing eBay from time to time never know your luck. However if you have one damaged rim you don't have the luxury of time.

Thanks for the response, folks! It turns out that the rim is not cracked it's just a deep gouge. There is a place in town that supposed to be very good a repairing rims so I'm going to take it there.

I take it you are going to Alloy Wheel repair out in Stittsville, if so they are very good. I had them repair a couple wheels for me that had bad curb rash, you would never had known they had been damaged. These guys in fact.

Hiya!
I just got my Forte5 yesterday, and the guy at the dealership said the 2015 rims are machined? and they cant be repaired?
So I got the warranty on the rims and tires because he said the rims are like 1700 new right now. any type of damage on the rims and they replace them for me.

The rims are most likely a cast aluminum and the face machined to give that shiny look on the spokes. Rim repair is a delicate process and some decent metallurgical knowledge is needed to do it properly.

Hi there,

I have a Koup SX with 18" wheels... When I was buying my car I thought I would just trade in the stock wheels and tires to buy new wheels and winter tires. But the dealer offered only $40 to buy back each wheel/tire combo.... so I just decided to get the winter tires and wait till spring to get new wheels.

Now that spring is back I'm kinda thinking about getting some new wheels and summer tires. I'm in downtown Toronto and may want to sell the whole set... are you still looking for a solution?

Its funny too, I get a lot of comments on the wheels actually... but people would never buy them.

To be honest, I do too. I wasn't sure at first, but the smoked machined looks awesome against the black. They are certainly very unique for stock wheels.
