So what made you want to trade in your GT?

So what made you want to trade in your GT?
2023 GT 6spd was traded for a Forte LXS, 6spd had no traction with Racechip until 50mph, rpm at 80mph was around 3400rpm, and ride was too harsh. LXS rides and drives (ivt transmission) with far more refinement, which is what I want these days.

2021 GT dct was very good but in the end the dct was just not a refined enough transmission for us. The constant head movement from on off throttle just got to be too annoying, ride was borderline with the 235/45/17 at 30psi but still stiff. The 5.4s 0-60 was always fun and the GFB bov and Evilla midpipe still created grins right up to the end. Handling was excellent and no complaints. I do feel the LXS with the Evilla rear sway bar is a bit more fun and confidence inspiring than the GT, might have something to do with the IRS vs beam axle. This was traded for the 25 Sorento, she really liked her GT but she loves her Sorento.

The 3rd 23 GT we had was the daughters boyfriend, he swapped it for a 2018 Audi S4. He simply wanted more power, sub 5 second 0-60 is making him happy. He is hoping it stays in one piece for a few years. Plus his 23 GT with Racechip GTS never matched our 21 GT with Racechip S in acceleration. It was always 3 tenths slower in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. We were impressed with how well his 23 GT rode with Eibach springs and some Nitto NT555 G2 tires.

And I was looking at GTS I have a commuter but want to have fun with it. Is that most expensive one necessary. Between you, Steve and hamster I have got a lot of info since making account. You may have suggested S?

I can only speak for the GTS.. I love it. Last week it died but I ordered one and I’m desperately waiting. Mine failing was a freak occurrence.
I strongly suggest a RC next

And does it overload the turbo stress wise?

Look I have almost 70,000 miles running a Racechip. That should speak for itself.
RC has a 2 year warranty, I’m at 3 years. But I generally don’t bother with warranty on anything as long as I got my money’s worth. Keep in mind if I get a new one under warranty then you get to pay for it when you buy yours. The aftermarket industry is slowly going away so it’s better to support it than punish it when possible.

No issues at all. And I beat the shit out of my car.
I think it may be you but it was said that the turbo can only increase 6psi over stock or it just pushes hot air? Does the GTS increase boost to 6 on lower levels like 4 or 5?

4 psi over stock is the norm from what I have experienced. Also the turbo does not hit peak boost and hold it the entire time. You still are running the stock tune with the Rc. For example if I floor my car I may see the boost to 22psi and then quickly drop to 18psi. Yes our little turbos turn into hair dryers with too much boost. But you will never see those numbers with a Rc.

Yeah that makes sense. I am not wanting to race my car I always think o should just get the best one but curious if I would love and feel like the RS or S is enough

I’m at day 6 right now, but it’s holiday season. Who did you order from?
I was told to go from the source. Racechip.us. I am not wanting to drag race my car and be Ricky racer. I ended up going with the S. Figure it will give it a little somethin somethin.
