Ok so I finally have some SPARCO universal mudflaps on the way. I got them for $20 a pair on Amazon and I honestly don't know what to expect when they get here. I will surely post pics of it all.

So where do you guys come in? I need fitment ideas since I have never cut and fit my own mudflaps. I also have the splash guards that come stock and I was thinking of trimming them to make a sandwich for the mudflaps.

Any bit of knowledge helps so don't be shy. I've seen some EVOs and STIs with some horribly installed road armors that just look like crap, and those are some expensive prefit mudflaps for the stuck up AWD guys out here.

If you have done universals before; did you need to trim them? What tool did you use to trim them? Did you build a bracket to fasten them? Basically whatever you can think of would be very helpful.

Thanks guys

I took a look today and I notice that third screw on the bottom. I think I can avoid that screw all together and build an aluminum bracket that utilizes the two outer screws and then attach the flap to that. I also want to put some metal on the bottoms to protect them.

I would be curious to see the finish product and how you did it. Would love to pop a set of rally armor on the F5

Alright so it's going down this weekend. I have a buddy coming over to help me design and build this mud flap set up. Stay tuned for the build thread and hopefully this turns out with some craftsmanship and not looking like haggard dog shit lol
