Hellow, I installed hid on my low and fogs today. The passenger side headlight and fog are flickering every 5-6 secs....The passenger headlight bulb is whiter then all other bulbs. I don't know if it's related or not....

Anyone has been having this problem ? Can it be a bulb/ballast problem ?

I would sum it up to a relay issue, which i'm sure you probably have figured out by now (sorry for the delay in response)
My HIDs don't flicker, but they used a relay with mine, just because it doesn't hurt and its better to be safe than sorry.
Mine will flicker when i hit a bump in the road or something, but it doesn't continue to do it after i hit the bump (knock on wood!)

I have cancellers installed already but no relays....So I hope with a relay on my problem will be fixed, otherwise it must be a grounding problem or a ballast/bulb who knows.



On another note, I need to send you pictures of my car, my roof is carbon nao. It looks really good. Still waiting on Broken K's badge....

I received my HKS SSQV and I had bad news. It doesn't fit bolt on on the stock flange unless they cut the plastic on top of it. I don't wanna lose my warranty so I have 2 options, either just keep the stock bov and turn it into a VTA bov by not letting it recirculate the air or buy a cold pipe and relocate the bov location.

I don't know if you saw the ecu tune from btr on the veloster turbo....The HP/Torque gain is monstruous. BTRcc ECU Tune for Veloster Turbo

So yeah when I'll have couple more mods on i'll post pictures here.

I would love to see your roof. Feel free to PM me pics or post on the forum under the turbo pics thread! I went and got a quote for a black vinyl gloss roof. I wanted to do carbon fiber but it was double the price. I'm interested to see what yours looks like!

And that sucks about the BOV...does cutting the plastic void your warranty? I still haven't got my intake and BOV yet. It shipped two days ago so hopefully it'll be here soon. If I can't get it to work I'll just do a BPV.

And I have seen the ECU tune. I'm wanting that as well as soon as it comes out for our car. The veloster tune can't be used on our cars sadly but they are working on getting a forte tune as well! Great gains from it!

I'll post some pics as soon as I arrive home. My carbon fiber roof cost me 200cad installed.

I believe cutting the plastic void the warranty you know how dealers are right ? I'll give them a call this week and see what they say. But I may just use the stock BOV and block the recirc hose so it becomes VTA. Don't feel like spending 300 CAD to relocate the bov.

In regards to the HID I hope the relay will fix everything but so far it cost me 200$ in installation so yeah....Pretty fucking expensive hids.

Finaly the BTR ecu tune void ur warranty i'm 100000% sure. So i'd keep my stock ecu too in case you have an engine issue.

Thanks ! And yeah it'll look incredible on yours too believe me ! Keep me updated when you receive your SRI, if it fits i'll order one ! From what I read from you we will more then likely end up with similar mods !

PS: I haven't been really driving my car much due to the fact that we're not supposed to have snow this time in the year and i'm on summer tire . I'll try to take a better pic once the weather is better.

Update on my issue: 300$ later , ballast is fine, bulb is fine. Our car absolutly needs a relay in order to have the low and fogs not flickering.

Solution: Installing a relay on the low AND fog light....Will keep you guys updated it's getting done tommorow morning.

It was a hella expensive HID KIT LOL !!! If you install a SRI I think you'll have enough space for the BOV maybe....Can't wait to know if it fits our engine or not Lol ....!

I'm very certain the SRI is going to fit. The CAI maybe wouldn't fit but with the SRI being so short it will. Turbosocks wants me to try the CAI as well and let them know if it doesn't fit and if it doesn't, tell them what they need to do to fix it.

Where is our BOV located? On the turbo, on top of the intercoller? Or where? I haven't looked

Its driver side towards you the plastic right on top of the turbo is where its at.

Update on my hid: My leds on my fog passenger side now flickers even with the whole hid kit removed....Going to put it back stock and send the car to the dealer and hope for the best.
