Hello from the other Vancouver in Washington state(we had the name first!).
Never thought I would see myself in a Kia having been around when they were notorious for just being cheap cars that fell apart. But, they have really stepped their game up. After a long decision process looking at the Mazda 3, VW Golf TSI, Mini Cooper, BRZ/FR-S, Veloster, Genesis Coupe, as well as some used options I ended up in a new 2015 Kia Forte5 SX manual for just shy of $18k with the typical mud guards, cargo tray/net, rear bumper applique, wheel locks, etc.
My first new car in quite some time so enjoying the new car smell. I had been buying lightly used cars. Prior cars being a VW GTI, Subaru Legacy GT Spec B, Celica GTS, Mazda6s, Acura RSX(first new car), Acura Legend, and my first car being a '88 Mazda 626 with the cool oscilating vents.
Yet another warm sunny day in the Pacific Northwest it was time for it's first bit of wax on/wax off.
By far my favorite "feature". I'm 6'7 but have tons of extra leg and head room in this car. In my wife's RAV4 my knee is pinned against the dash.
Though my wife's RAV4 does present a problem. It is the V6 model that would be a bit faster than the SX. Need to fix that with a tune sometime.
