So I took the Koup to the track last night for the first time. I went with a couple buddies to watch them race but got the itch to take the Koup out once. I just rolled over 1k miles on it so figured I would break it in some more. Didnt do too bad considering. Just some insight for whoever might like to find out what theirs will do.

From the trap speed, I'm going to venture you finished the run at the top of 4th gear?
how hot was it outside?

With that mph you can get into the 14's easily. No offense but the 60' time is not good, practice some more and get that down to 2.0 or 1.9 and that will translate your time into a 14.7 or 14.8.

Nevertheless, you are the forums fastest car for now :) You have documentation. I plan to go to the track soon, but the closest one is only 1/8 mile :(

Personally, I dont think I could or get the car too under a 2 sec 60 foot, specially on an auto. The cars first gear vs boost spool is just not there. Other than that the car pulled very hard from about the 100 foot mark on (2nd gear). I was very pleased with the result. I would like to see others times once more people get the chance to go to the track.

I'm not building a race car, but just want to get everything out of the car that I can. I also have the 6 speed auto. The only things I've done to the car is the intercooler resonator delete and a K&N 69 series Typhoon Intake. I wonder what the 1/4 mile time would look like.

Do you have any pictures of your K&N install? Is it the same intake K&N lists for the Veloster?
Yes, please confirm. I didn't realize K&N made one for our car yet.

No heat shielding. Our intercooler will decrease temps just fine. And so will a new FMIC kit after I make that :)

For now, it will be modular CAI and SRI. The most important part is that it will be 3.5" diameter. The increased diameter will allow better boost and throttle response all while increasing total power.

Everything lined up perfectly EXEPT the top heat shield. As far as how it sounds, under "normal" driving it sounds like a whole lot of air going through a big metal tube. Once you get up to cruising speed you don't really hear it. During aggressive driving it sounds amazing. You can really hear the turbo and blow-off. There is no turbo lag. From any speed, you punch it... It goes. K&N claims 13hp by adding the intake. Add that to the 13hp for the intercooler resonator delete, at best I'm pushing 227hp. Considering I paid $20 for the delete pipe and $200 for the intake, I paid $8.50 per horse power.
