Hey guys
I'm going to be gettin the Tork tune in the next week or so
I don't want to deal with not having my car for 3 days
So I'm going to order an extra Ecu to us while I wait

I am going to sell the Ecu since afterwards I have no need for one.
So that being said
Would anyone be interested in buying this Ecu when I'm done with it
It will be cheap
I am not offering theses ecu's besides this one

Don't get me wrong. I would love to sell all you guys ecu's. But I feel like it's not my place since Tork already does this.
Only reason I am selling with one is because I just need it briefly

Just curious, are you able to program a ecu for anyone's car with their vin? Or would it only be programmed for yours or blank. Just thinking cause the first initial tune everyone does. They would have to send tork their ecu and a spare if they want. And they tork can copy and paste onto spare ecu? If people were to buy a spare ecu with their program already on it they there would not be any down time with their car.

Yes you are correct. And that is exactally why I'm trying to get in talk with Tork about creating a procedure like that. I have no idea what there plan is. They are extremely busy and I am not going to keep nagging them. I think that's the last thing they need. Lol
But yes I can write vins, therefore the Ecu will be ready for the vin I write it for.
The way I'm doing it with mikeyb is this
He is paying for the Ecu upfront.Reason being I will be writing his vin into the Ecu when I get it so it's able to be used.
If I don't write a vin the car won't run correctly
Once I am done with it and I have my Ecu back I will be mailing it to him
I trust him 100% but say for some reason he doesn't need the Ecu anymore. I'm out xxx amount of dollars with an Ecu with someone else's vin on It. Now since I work at the dealer I could use it for myself and not have any problems. But point being I don't need an extra Ecu. The point of an extra Ecu is so you can swap it out for whatever reasons. But mainly to go to the dealer with out having issues

Even if I programmed my vin into the Ecu. Mikeyb could still use it. But if he went to the dealer with it in his car for warranty work . my vin would show up when they scanned it. And that would be a huge red flag. Lol
But yes In the end. I can write vins. When I right a vin it takes the security off of the Ecu and gives you access to it. Way faster the whatever the procedure is for breaking into it when tuning

Good to know. Another question and sorry for going off topic but can the dealership tell if the ecu has been flashed or if someone swapped ecus? And not sure if you would know this yet but if Diablo sport does make a tuner for us. Could they tell it was flashed back to stock?

The only true way for them to know is to match the vin to the scan tool when its auto vin'd
I can tell you the chances of that are slim to none
And if diablo has a handheld. Like everyother handheld you would flash your ecu to stock before going to the dealer
