Introduction
This is my ‘Snow White’ 2015 Kia Forte5 SX. I picked it up from the dealer with 10 miles on it. I have named the car Eevee. For those of you who don’t know, Eevee is a Pokémon introduced in generation one that is capable of evolving into different Pokémon depending on different circumstances. I chose this Pokémon to represent the car because of the untapped potential that both Eevee and the car possess. (That, and I’m a huge Pokemon fan, Eevee is one of my favorites, so there’s that.) There is a small Eevee plush that I keep on the dash, it’s the car’s mascot.

Goals
13 second grocery getter.

This car is as much of a project car as it is my daily driver. My goals are to increase the looks and performance of the car without negatively impacting the everyday normal drivability of the vehicle. Keeping the warranty in tact will be also a bonus.

I would like for the car to consistently be able to run 13 seconds in the ¼ mile…. I also need to find a drag strip as well to be able to test this.

Friggin awesome! Love first Gen Pokémon!

I have a 15' silver forte5 sx that I have named R2 after R2D2 from the obvious. I'm going to do a cut up blue offset racing stripe out of vinyl at to make it look like it's made up of a bunch of panels.

Have fun with the build. I'll be checking in for sure.

I've never actually named a car before, and I've had project cars before, that should tell you something about how much I like it. (Inb4 this is me in a couple of years)

Got my broken K badges in the mail today right before I headed to work, I'll try to get them on tomorrow, but I don't know how easy it will be with out being able to apply heat. I did try to pull off the steering wheel emblem in the parking lot at work before I had to start my shift, I only succeeded in honking at people.

Ironically, it actually seems to cause the opposite effect, In one day of driving round, I've had more people try to show off with the rumble than I did the previous 5,000 miles I've had the car.

Now pop that resonator off and really hear her growl
I live in a 'luxury' apartment complex, I don't want to piss off the neighbors, especially since I currently work at night and get home very early in the morning. For right now, it's perfect, has a grumble, but not too loud. But I may go the rough Bnelson has gone and that's a Comarro muffler.

I hear ya on that. I live in condos and my garage faces the side of one of the houses and on cold start it is loud for about 30sec. I feel bad for my neighbor at 430am when I leave for work lol

It only cost me $80 to get this done. I did some phone calls, and found a good local shop. I did take my car to the only muffler shop in the state that does Mendral bends (which was an hour drive one way) for a quote. They wanted nearly $600 for an axel back. I Noped myself all the way back to Kansas City. My next step is to get the car Dyno'd to see how much I've gained just by chopping that hunk of metal off of the car.

What you will have gained won't be seen on the dyno. Loss of weight with minimal HP gains is about it. Once you remove the 2 cats in the exhaust then you will actually see the gains from dropping the muffler.

^ What he said, at the very least get that second cat gutted. It's restrictive and does nothing for the car except regarding emissions. It's not even monitored by an o2... so no harm will come from it.

I'm not expecting to see a huge gain, and it's honestly mostly for science. I'm really curious to see just how restrictive that thing really is.

I would drop my cat. But I'm afraid of emissions. Until I know for 100% fact that it won't hurt it when I get it checked later down the road I might. Best alt is to buy a bigger one and have that installed

I will be making a test pipe for where the second cat goes. I want to be able to pull the second cat off until smog is needed and then pull the test pipe and put the cat back in. Mine is gutted now but I know it would be better to do a straight pipe there instead of the chamber where the cat was
