Bought a used ecu from ebay to send in for a tork tune but ecu won't work with my car due to immobilizer in ecu. Part number 39106 2b751. For sale for $150 or trade preferable for a compatible ecu. The car's current ecu is 2b737. 2014 forte koup sx, auto, push button ign.

I think immobiliser is a Canadian thing. They have mandatory DRL and immobiliser. Even if US version has some kind of immobiliser in the key, it is not the same thing.

A lesson for everyone - you buy ECU by a part number or call dealer (best two or three locations) and get part number based on your VIN.
