Let me begin with saying that the stereo unit I have in the car does NOT match any listed in the owners manual.
Buttons are different and different location.

But that's not the biggest problem here.

I cannot browse through folders/catalogs saved in USB. It can see them, I can play songs, but I cannot jump from one folder to another. I must go through all songs.
The track button works (next track or ffwd), but the "category" does not. I would assume this should be next folder button, but it does not respond at all.

The other thing that drives me crazy is the order of songs it will play. It goes alphabetically, not by track number.
How to change it?

Anyone?

Whenever I try to plug my sansa clip mp3 player in the usb my head unit just reboots itself after spending a few minutes trying to read it...

Let's get some pics...
of my unit?

This one is in my car (pics from net). But exactly same.

Car Satellite radio Plant Radio Motor vehicle

This one, from net as well, is the one that is shown in the Owners Manual.

Car White Automotive design Vehicle audio Personal luxury car

So which one do you have guys?
I believe the same I do as it will show colours and operate backup camera.
Yet, the question remains - can you scroll by a folder?

Yours was used wasn't it? Maybe the UVO manual supplement went missing. Register on the kia owners site and you can get the digital version. The main manual appears to just have the non-uvo unit found in the LX sedan.

So to go by folder it seems to say this.
Press Menu - explore usb - and you can select folders there. I would think building playlists would give you the control you are after though.

The top one and the manual matches it. There are 7 pages dedicated to usb mode.
in the supplement? I did not look into it.

I cannot see images from online storage... only the on forum attachments.

I got that. This is what I do when I need to, but the touchscreen is a disaster. Especially when you are driving... just switching to folder of interest is problematic.
I loved unit I had in 09 Elantra.

Yeah the category button does not show any function in usb mode. Just the song skip buttons, the tuner dial which you can rotate and press to select a song, and the touchscreen.

The only function of the category button is for the Sirius radio.
Stupid...

Thanks for the info. I will look into the supplemental manual.

The big deal about UVO was the extensive voice commands not so much the interface. I feel silly using it. But it does support commands like Play artist/playlist/genre/album/track <name>.
