I poured some washer fluid along door seal and barely have a problem anymore..... if it does stick, usually it doesn't take much to roll down. .. one of the first times it took like 25 min to get down..... frozen rain....
Another thing I did before along with the washer fluid was run a zip tie in between window and door seal to break it loose.

would using an interior cleaner to coat the rubber help?

I guess it depends on the freezing point of it. I heard using some kind of silicone lube would help. But I didn't have anything. Car was running for 25 min and nothing was breaking loose.... if you close door from outside you can push window inwards and get door closed but from inside it's impossible. So I started up car and closed window with heat cranked..... it's too bad they could of put a defrost thing on bottom of window like they did on front for wipers. Atleast it would break lose in like 5 min s. ..

My theory is the washer fluid coats the seal and window so it stays liquid until minus 40 C. Without it there is moisture and that there and it freezes.... I've had very little problems with it lately..... I'm sure once we get freezing rain it will have problems again....

I got a bottle of lock deicer in my car now too, going to try it next time too.... and yeah not sure why Kia had to make the 2 door frameless... I am not a fan of the little tiny window on the forte 5 are 4 door though. I think it looks dumb.... I see quite a few cars with the little window now.

Lol .. I see this being a positive
The first thing you bitch about is doors freezing
At least it's not that it's slow or some other bullshit

Lol wish we had a lsd at least. The traction control seems to help on ice. But lsd would be nicer. in deep snow, traction control sucks.... and I wish there was a way to completely disable stability control.....

I have just pressed and held the traction control button and it disables both. So far the stability hasn't kicked when driving like crazy through the mountains so far

It does when having fun e braking in a parking lot or something. ... I had just traction control disabled, first snow fall decided to have a little fun getting into work parking lot and back end kicks out about a foot and car says no. Stability control kicked in and straighten car out.... with everything disabled, it is fully disabled, some vehicles just reduce the systems....

i agree on the lsd...my passenger side tire is soon gonna be bald haha...i used a mix of rain x deicer windhield wash and 90% rubbing alcohol (not much) mixed in a windex bottle...ran the window up and down a few times with it there...so far so good.

This is the first winter with my 2014 forte koupe and the Windows are a Big issue!!!!! I spent 45 minutes trying to get it unstuck the other morning. I have taken the car along with video into the dealership and was told nothing was wrong with it so I called the corporate office and they are supposedly sending me a goodwill reimbursement of up to 250.00 for the inconvenience. I put an auto start on it hoping that would solve the issue and it didn't so I am fighting with them about it again. I regret the day I bought the car. I sent them an email and they are supposedly checking into it. I don't feel I should have to do anything extra on a brand new car and am waiting for the day the window shatters while I am trying to get it unstuck. I have a feeling I will be calling a lawyer on this issue. It is a major DESIGN flaw that needs corrected. As far as I'm concerned the window doesn't work properly and my car is under warranty so they either need to fix the issue or put me in another model that doesn't have free standing Windows

I poured washer fluid all over my window once months ago and no issues since. Today I had frozen rain. 1/4" of ice on front windows. Little bit on side windows and no issues with window rolling down.

So you regret buying the car just because the window freezes? I understand its frustrating but if you were going through what i am dealing with you would want to blow up the car. Every car has its issues

I do wish kia put a framed window on the koup and think that's dumb they didnt but I've only had issues at beginning of winter and now everything has been good. That's nice that they gave you $250....
