So I've never been one to do things in any scientific way. Had a feeling it may not fit but went ahead and ordered a Oettinger rear spoiler/lip that's made for the MK7 Golf. It's a knock-off imitation for a fraction of the price so I didn't feel too bad if it was a complete fail but I was already anticipating some work before it arrived. It's just a few inches too short.

As you can hopefully see it is a few inches too small. No worries. I plan on cutting it in two and running it with a gap in the middle which conveniently isn't too far off from its original design anyway.

Here is the official wing and how it sits on the Golf GTI.

And finally, I picked up some ghetto 'RS' hood vents. :D

Still debating if I should do these or fork out $50 for the real/knock offs on eBay.

I would call around and shop around for prices on fabricating that to make the center those inches fitted. Just saying it's always better to fork out the cash for quality.
