i want to get summer tires to improve my 2015 kia forte koup sx's handling, firestone firehawk wide oval indy 500 summer tires cost $101 they cost $7 less then our stock nexen tires, i am a littled skeptical because the price of the firestone firehawk wide oval indy 500 tires are so cheap, are these summer tires any good ? And will they improve my cars handling over our stock nexen tires ? I live in south florida

I personally haven't used them but I have use the continental tires along with hankook, kuhmo, falken, michelin. I really liked the kuhmo and continental tires the best. If you get into the higher price range of the hankook and falken tires they are really good to and the michelins are just way over priced for what they offer for a daily car.

The stock texan tires are garbage but I have ran then at a autocross track and was pretty impressed that they held their own on the track. If the tread wear was lower than the 480 that they are at the ride would be better and better grip. If they were around the 200-300 tread wear they would grip pretty dang good for stock but they always put high tread wear on new cars to make them last a while
