I now have a "shop" car. I plan on getting started on a couple things this week and maybe this weekend.
Still getting a feel for the car but so far this thing is amazing. Kia did a great job.

Good things to come!

Great news! Love that colour too. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to.
Def a great color i hesited for a while between grey and white !
I can see in these pics that the Koup does sit higher in your country. Mine seems a little lower than that. What are you starting with 6thE?
I am going to try and order some parts to fab up an intake this week. And maybe an intercooler resonator delete design that offers something others don't.

This coming weekend is jam packed with CrossFit regionals and Mother's day, so I won't have anytime to do anything. Next week, I am going to remove the blow off valve and get it measured and in my CAD software to design a plate that will act as a vent to atmosphere piece, as well as come up with a design to get an aftermarket blow off valve in there.

Baby steps lol :)

Congrats on the shop car! (You should keep it)

Hopefully you come up with something good for us :) I still haven't ordered my intake from Injen yet. I just sold my other intake that didn't work from Turbosocks to someone on the forum for VT.

I would love it if you could be a little patient, and wait for an intake that i have developed. If you can't that's cool too :)
I'm not in any hurry to get one on there. Right now i'm perfectly content with the sound and response i'm getting just from removing the air box and adding the filter. So, once you get something let me know and i'll let you know if i have something already or not. But, even if i do it wouldn't take long at all to take whatever i have off and test fit yours.

So with this "shop car" does that mean its YOUR car? or do you only have this for a few days/weeks?

Oh it's mine! :)

Traded in my 2010 Forte Sedan. I got pretty much what I owed for my sedan for trade in value. My car payment went down $10 a month :)

Time to make some parts!

Happy days.
I wish my car came with tint when I bought it :(
Not sure if this helps or not, but I work for a Kia Dealership. I may be useful for some info if needed..

Good to know, thanks! Are you in Parts or Service? PM your contact info. If I can't find the info I need on the KGIS system, I'll hit you up.

Like codes for ECUs so we can get tuned? You might be TorkMe's new best friend.
Woohoo! I can't wait to check out what you guys do.

When everything is all tested etc would you guys ship parts to Australia? :D

of course! I would ask for a few pictures to confirm fitment of the parts (each case may vary), but if you are willing to deal with the customs and taxes then yea no problem.
Taxes only apply to goods over $1000
Turbosocks made an intake for the Veloster and while it's just as efficient and quite a bit cheaper, I'd sooner buy the injen or K&N because in my opinion they're better looking. Just a thought while you're developing yours.
Agreed @norrie I like the look of the Injen intake. Still haven't gotten mine get but it is ordered. They said it can take up to 3 weeks before it's shipped. But I know for a fact it will fit :)
It'd be good if the rest of us could wait for 6thE's offerings. Support the guy who supports us and all that. It's that clean straight section that makes the injen look great under the hood.
