Yeah the bov sounds clean with the intake. I just realized you have the sri version so i might hear the whistle more since i am cai. How is the pull with the sri? I was thinking to try it

Has Anyone has any issues with Hydro lock on the CIAs installed in our car.. how water tight is the filter location behind the fog lamp... should a AEM by pass filter thing be installed..? we get a lot of flash flooding here in Austin.. so I tend to keep my intakes short and under the hood.. any answers on this question?

I think as long as the CIA stays out of Guantanamo, waterboarding shouldn't be an issue.

Too soon?

In all seriousness, it's too new a product. If it's anything like Houston's flooding, I'd get the SRI. Living on the coast and dealing with hurricanes, that's ultimately what I decided to do, even though the flooding isn't near as bad in general.

I have not had issues yet with the cai and water. We have had a few heavy rains where I went through some deeper spot on the road to my work and have had no issue. Like people have mentioned unless you submerge the whole filter in the water you should be good. Just make sure even if the filter isn't far in the water not to boost because thats when it would suck it up

Mine has been through numerous torrential downpours in the 5000 miles i've been using it. Never had a problem.

Now, if you try to plow your way through 6" of standing water, you're gonna have a bad time. Avoid puddles plain and simple.

The filter sits atop the lower part of the fender liner, right behind the foglight.

I would get the sri.. just to keep the filter a little dryer... and I would get a wrap for the filter as well for larger debris that can hit an open cone filter.. the fitment looks top notch.. one question... since you don't have a bov port on your intake what to you do with th hose.. do you just disconnect the outer end and let it run to atmosphere?
