I got a set of low mileage 245/40r/18 snow tires. Has anyone used or know if these will work on the stock (18x7.5") rims? I'm finding conflicting info on this.

that would be extremely tight squeeze on the stock rim. 235 should be possible but even then it depends on actual section width and tire width. Even with the same size tire it can vary by manufacturers as much as an inch.

Yeah, they are wider and a bit taller than stock... Plus, they will be like skis on snow. Or at least thats been my experience,. I run 16" tires and rims for my snow tires.

They will be 16 mm taller (8 mm per side). Adding 20 mm in width - you might be having a problem to fit them in front. Especially if you have mud flaps.

Other than that - 245 for snow is a mistake. The car is too light. I would not even take 225.
