I was thinking the same thing. I noticed that when I use that first gutless second before the turbo spools to just get the car rolling I can romp on it right after and have almost no wheelspin. Not that bad at all really when it comes to launching these A/T the trick is to not stab the throttle as it will build boost to fast and spin. I have yet to be beaten off the line and I am talking about 4 cyl 2wd or most v6s too. It just takes a little practice working with the car to get the most of it with no spinning. If you are stock you shouldn't have that many issues but as you modd you will notice it gets harder. Adjustable shocks and springs mixed with a decent set of tires will help a lot.
the scion fr-s is slow I seen a you tube video of the 2014 fr-s with a 6 speed manual getting beat my a 2014 scion tc in automatic , and the scion frs with a 6 speed manual is supposed to be the faster then the automaticyou will find the forte harder to launch.. no LSD and higher torque and lower rpm.. but after the second gear change.. you will pull a head.. you wont kill an si.. but you will win.. and you can do it every time.. with a solid 60 foot.. here is the problem.. you will never see a stock SI at a drag strip.. or on the street.. any stock si.. is not going to play with you.. they know they are slow.. a better run for you is The BRZ..FRS... RWD makes those guy think they have a missile on there hands.. you will crush that car with out even trying.. only brz with power adders have a chance with you.. bolt on's wont do anything..
all true.. the only real issue is its super easy to make a brz fast.. like 5 grand ls swap.. or 3 grand turbo.. and that car is off the races.. just wish we had the aftermarket support that cars.. i'm running out of bolt on parts to test.. I guess ill have to do a big k build just to test more parts...the scion fr-s is slow I seen a you tube video of the 2014 fr-s with a 6 speed manual getting beat my a 2014 scion tc in automatic , and the scion frs with a 6 speed manual is supposed to be the faster then the automatic
I agree. I check all the sites daily to see if anything new has come out.all true.. the only real issue is its super easy to make a brz fast.. like 5 grand ls swap.. or 3 grand turbo.. and that car is off the races.. just wish we had the aftermarket support that cars.. i'm running out of bolt on parts to test.. I'm no F1 driver so unless all the si civics I have raced were driven by morons then our car is faster hands down. These are all races from a dig and not a 40 or 60 roll.Stock for stock given equal drivers, it's a drivers race with the SI being perhaps a touch faster.
when you raced the civic si did you have your 6th element short ram intake and resonator delete installed ? from doing research online car and driver has the forte5 sx in automatic beating the civic si from 0 to 60 by 1/10th of a second and beating it in the 1/4 mile by 2/10th of a second, motor trend has the civic si beating the forte koup sx from 0 to 60 by 7/10th of a second and beating it in the 1/4 mile by 1/2 second, the civic si and the forte sx is pretty evenly matched , I still would rather have my koup sx over a civic si , because the forte koup sx gets its turbo boost after 1750 rpm and the civic si gets its v-tech boost after 4000 rpm so you have to drive the civic si really hard otherwise it feels slowI'm no F1 driver so unless all the si civics I have raced were driven by morons then our car is faster hands down. They just can't hang
