    Boost Gauge Install

Anyone thought or have installed a boost gauge yet? I found one laying around the garage and thought it may be nice to know exactly what were pushing. Question is, where to mount it..

I am going to be making an insert "plate" of sorts so you can do this exact thing. Still a few weeks out though.

If you can't wait for that, you will have to splice into a vacuum line coming off the intake manifold.

Does OBDII happen to report boost pressure? Just curious as to wether that could be an option. Guessing it might not report that back though.

It depends on the device you plug in to it. Most new ones will recognize that parameter. I plan on using something like this very soon.

6thElementEngineering, the gauge I have came with a "T" to splice into a vacuum line. What type of plate are you manufacturing?

I am going to make a plate that goes in between the factory MAP sensor and the intake manifold. It will have a couple ports so you can have a dedicated boost signla source for things like a boost gauge and Blow of valve. It will come with plugs and small fittings to hook hoses up to. That way you don;t have to cut any factory lines. Plus it will look cool too
