I'm fully aware that KYB's arent stock on KIA vehicles. With the recommendation from Forte5, once I saw they were available - favorite shock brand, had to have them.

I thought someone said here somewhere that's he brand we have here... or maybe I am wrong.

    But why only rear?
Wouldn't it cause some issues having different rebounce rate/stiffness front/rear?

I am just thinking - springs are left same, but you change the shocks. Would it cause problems? Not sure, honestly.

A tighter shock more effectively controls the motions of the springs, so the net result will be improved handling and less rear end bouncing. The KYB's are high pressure gas shocks, can't even compress them with me pushing on the shock or pulling.
Then with the big purple bushings installed should be free of "twisting" of the beam axle.

I'm not changing the front struts, cuz I don't have a resource or selection for replacement struts up front yet.

So finally I have begun to start the install on the Pioneer (7") HU and maybe the amp. The amp I have is super small so I'm thinking below the deck there is room for it and it would be out of the way. The taking a part was a bitch to remove without breakage / damage
to any and all trim pieces. Two (2) hours and NO damage. Back-up cam will have a 6 volt buck converter, should work very nice. I'm going to tether from the HU to an old but new iphone 4S to work with all the preloaded apps in the deck. I don't use an iphone so it will stay in the car out of site. I don't want to, but I'm going to have to "cut" the OEM USB connecter (weird connecter anyway) and install a female USB to work great with my ISO connectors from the OEM cable setup to the deck and amp. I'm even thinking of having a Intel compute stick thru the AUX on the deck. I tried it and it works, just not sure on that one.
Speakers will be later, have them ready to go. I'm going to post more in the stereo upgrade.
    Will let you know.

Anything is better than stock. When we get my amp installed, I'm going to neuter the "glaring" OEM dash tweeters. My front door RockFord Fosgates have plenty of upper end range.

Due to where they fire from, you kind of want the dash tweeters, so just don't get the same sound from using tweeters further down the door.. Maybe the tweeters can be replaced? I kept my stock ones in with 4 main speakers replacement and my settings with crappy factory HU is +8 bass and mid and treble at 0, I just wish I had more consistent bass, but an amp would help there for sure...
